February 2012

Working across several different market sectors as the Expo Life team does, has reinforced the fact that to stay ahead in the difficult financial climate, brand managers need to remain focused on a strong, multi faceted promotional strategy. Now is not the time to cut back on anything that reduces awareness amongst potential consumers or existing customers.
Tourism, particularly in our region that includes the gem of The Lake District and also Hadrian's Wall, a world heritage site, is seeing good occupancy rates and visitor numbers are approaching record levels for those who have planned ahead with strong awareness campaigns.
Agriculture is more stable than in recent years and the optimism amongst farmers is easing the economic uncertainty in the agricultrual supply industry.
Expo Life's equine client base is also upbeat and although budgets are undoubtedly working harder, our expertise across the media has resulted in some really innovate promotions recently, with more planned for this, the most high profile year for British equestrianism in recent times. It might not be easy out there, but the challenge is all the more interesting as a result.
