SIMON BUCKLEY WINS SCOPE NATIONAL 6YO CHAMPIONSHIP WITH HFS VALENTINO (5th, September 20110 International show jumper Simon Buckley, supported by Equine Products UK, won the National 6yo Championship at British Show Jumping SCOPE Festival with the much admired stallion HFS Valentino, securing a well deserved ticket for the Horse of the Year Show. Bought as a foal, the AES licensed son of Heartbreaker (x Concorde) already has an impressive record. He won as a 4yo at the Young Horse Championships (Addington) and after winning the 5yo final on the Sunshine Tour last spring, he finished second at SCOPE Festival in the 5yo Championship. Having jumped clear every day at this year’s SCOPE Festival, HFS Valentino is owned by Simon and his mother Judith. Simon says, “He has always had a very correct technique and is so careful and consistent. He is qualified for the Foxhunter second rounds next year and that, together with this Championship, were my aims for him this season.
